Festival day in Billericay

Monday  15th July 2013
This weekend in Billericay was the annual Rotary Clubs from the surrounding areas Classic Car and charities market day.  Colin and I went up together with Colin’s Mum on Sunday afternoon once the sun had cooled down very slightly.  Some of the classic cars were fantastic especially the Morris Minors and old Rolls Royce’s.
I would say that approx between 3 and 5 thousand people would have made the journey to Sun Corner to take part and donate to them in whatever way they wished to do so.
As the weather was so good Colin decided that he was going to wear one of our Solar Caps.
Product Code: 02004GL1 5
Well if we had taken a suitcase full of them we could have sold them over and over again. We had so many enquires for them that it was a good job that Colin had some of his business cards in his wallet and was able to give them to the people and direct them to our gadget website. http://www.selectsolargadgets.co.uk  I will keep you informed if any of the sales are from Billericay areas.
One of the Charity Stall holders who were very interested in our caps was St. Luke’s Hospice as they are going on a trek in the Sahara soon and thought that it would be a great asset to the team and then at the end of the trek give them to the children in one of the villages that the would be going to and as we do blue caps this would have to be the colour as Blue is St. Luke’s colour anyway.
We are looking forward to hearing about their adventures in the Sahara and when they come back we will keep you informed about their trek, and how much the children enjoyed wearing our solar caps.

While Colin was having a glass of Pimm’s both Thelma (Colin’s Mum) and myself had a proper cream tea which was absolutely delicious or I almost forgot before all of that both Colin and I had a sausage in a roll from the Giggly Pig  food stall  who also wanted our solar cap and the sausages were the best that I have tasted in years  they were what I call proper Butcher Shop Sausages.
Anyway after a very short discussion we have decided that Next year we are going to have a small stall at the event and sell our solar products.
